Huguenot Park (North Side of Inlet)
Huguenot Park is on the north side of the inlet (Mayport Poles is on the south side of this inlet). A fun punchy wave which breaks best on an incoming tide. Heavily localized line up. Small fee to enter park. Best for intermediate to experienced surfers.
- Type of wave: Wedgy sand bar – Right & Left
- Best Tide: Incoming to high tide
- Best Size: Chest high to two feet overhead
- Best Swell Direction: E, ESE
- Best Wind Direction: W
- Prime Time: All year, more consistent during the winter
- Crowd Factor: Heavy Localism
Mayport Poles (South Side of Inlet)
Mayport Poles is on the south side of the inlet (Huguenot Park is on the north side of this inlet). A fun punchy wave which breaks best on a lower tide. The crowd can get kind of heavy during the weekends when the waves get over waist high. Small fee to enter park. Best for intermediate to experienced surfers.

- Best Size: Chest high to a foot overhead
- Best Swell Direction: NE, E
- Best Wind Direction: W
- Prime Time: All year, more consistent during the winter

Atlantic Beach
Moving south from Mayport Poles, Atlantic Beach is filled with various beach breaks at the end of every beach access. The crowd is usually spread out pretty thin because of the length of the beach. This is a great break for beginners.

- Best Tide: High Tide
- Best Size: Chest high to a foot overhead
- Best Swell Direction: NE, E, SE
- Best Wind Direction: W
- Prime Time: All year, more consistent during the winter
- Crowd Factor: Moderate, pretty spread out
Jacksonville Beach Pier
Moving south from Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach and Jax Beach are filled with various sand breaks at the end of every beach access. The new Jax pier is located in North Jax Beach five blocks north of Beach Blvd. (The old one was destroyed by a hurricane.)
The Jax Beach Pier is the area’s high-tide break, and there are various peaks off of the pier which helps spread everyone out a bit.

Micklers (Cross Roads) Ponte Vedra
Moving southward from Jacksonville Beach, is Ponte Vedra Beach. At the south end of Ponte Vedra is Micklers and it is amazingly the only public beach access between South Jacksonville Beach and Guana State Park. Heading south turn left(East) at the Micklers/AIA intersection.

- Best Size: Anywhere from knee high to three feet overhead
- Best Swell Direction: NE, E, SE
- Best Wind Direction: W
- Prime Time: All year, best during fall
