SJP’s Local Summary – Updated TUES 8/31/2010 We have solid Easterly windswell/groundswell leftover combo on tap for Tuesday and Wednesday from Hurricane Danielle. Next in line is Hurricane Earl! This is the strongest out of the bunch. They are forecasting Hurricane Earl to be a strong CAT 4 only about 475 miles off Jacksonville’s coast by Thurday. This means we are going to get hammered with swell! The even better news is that we could get lucky with lighter winds on Thurday and light offshore winds on Friday!! Some forecast sites are calling for head high plus to double overhead+ on Thursday. WHAAAT!!! Stay tuned… forecast WILL change rapidly.
