do you happen to know what size board he's riding? i have a 7 yr old that's really enjoying surfing but he's using my fun shape and way bigger than what he could be riding and like Kaleb, he could have even more fun/ripping with a smaller board.

First of all the kid most likely won't make it. Surfers are statistically the lower class cuz we waste all day trying to surf our whole lives then realize that the fake dream has brought us to a sub-par life. I won't even let my kids surf bc it destroys dreams. Why don't you study all the groms that have been hopefulls. I'm not saying that this grom will never make it to the CT and be successful but when you tell'm their whole life that they are going to be some great surfer and then they fall short and start hanging with the druggies still thinking they are killing it thats where it becomes a sad story. Keep ripping grom. If you really want it stay away from all the kids partying it up. GOOD LUCK!

Geeze BZ, we got a regular negative Nancey. You won't let your kids surf and they probibly really dislike you because of it. It is possible to surf and do well in life. I do it, my friends did it, and this kid can do it. Don't ruin everyone elses dream just because yours didn't come true.
